The Diagonal Road, which connects Asia with Europe is one the most ancient arteries in South Eastern Europe. It comes from the Far East and enters Europe through Istanbul. Then it passes through Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro to head for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia. And from there it continues to Western Europe.
